  1. Why does it have to be one or the other? I like both and want both of them to succeed. So many Cam Thomas stans around here think if you’re not calling him the next messiah you must hate him.

  2. I think they are pitted against each other because they are both the potential corner stones. A lot of fans view Thomas as the cornerstone, and the front office views Bridges as the cornerstone. Personally I think cam Thomas has a higher ceiling, is younger, and has a ton of potential to be great. Bridges is slightly overrated and appears to have cost us valuable draft Assets in return, but the front office views him too highly.

  3. Everybody’s extremely annoying and basketball is a team sport. They aren’t competing for minutes, they should be on the floor together for the immediate future.

  4. Both obviously lol how could you not be enthusiastic about one or the other? Damn these fans changed when KD came. I remember when we were all hyped about Sean Kilpatrick 🤣

  5. Everything is a fight. Everything is tribalism online and increasingly offline, since 2016. US politics has infected both the young and the old, and tainted discourse. You can’t just like House of the Dragon, gotta pick a side. Can’t be a fan of a team, gotta pick a player and hate the other, trash the other. No differences of opinion aren’t a battle, a war. You can’t politely disagree…if you are against Sean Marks you’re a doomer, if you aren’t you suck/ride his dick, etc. Everything is fuck this guy, fire that guy, hate this, you suck, fuck you…no one can just talk. Combativeness is the norm. We are doomed.

That being said, if you *forced* me to pick who to give “the keys” right now, I’d probably go Cam over Mikal based on the past season and the fact that Cam is so young. But I can’t and won’t be voting because I don’t use The Platform Formerly Known As Twitter and have no login for it, and I don’t like that there’s a narrative here that pits these two guys against each other.

It feels like its entirely driven by the more cultish and unhinged of CT’s fans, who are upset that any report labeled Bridges as the guy we’re “building around” and also take anything but deification of CT as being a “hater”. No one hates CT here, and none of the pro-Bridges people make it an either/or thing. It’s one-sided. Not all CT fans, of course (after all, I *am* a CT fan, despite some labeling me as a hater); just a particularly immature and toxic subset of his fanbase. Anyone who could label themselves as a “Bridges stan” is probably just sad about his performance this year, rather than bitter towards CT.

  6. How did Mikal go from the darling of Suns fans who were devastated to see him go to just about a good portion of the Nets fanbase disliking him in a year? This is something that needs to be study

  7. The whole cam vs Mikal dynamic that’s been adopted by fans in the last few months is honestly insufferable
