For a guy who had the ball so much, he really kept the turnovers low. I think there was some tweet where he was among a group of elite players who scored 20ppg while keeping his turnovers under 2, at his age.
Was it weird people got on his ability to create (I criticized it too). But on reflection, lots of young players, lots now we consider in the conversation for the top 20, had tunnel vision when they were younger and only became more well rounded after X years in the league. And lets be real, most had better coaching (like Phil Jackson with Jordan and Kobe).
If he can understand that himself (without the elite coaching), good news for Nets fans.
This exactly what we need Cam to work on. He needs to be molded into a score first pg into an allen iverson type player. Of course he cant be AI but you know that kinda of player.
Ball dominant guard. Nets need a distributor then two-way wings but most of all Nets need another reliable 22+ppg scorer.
