  1. Who does that with 3 minutes of regulation in a tie game. I get they need the regulation win but why so early

  2. I was going to lose my shit if I had to hear the announcer go on anymore about them pulling the goalie. He just repeated himself the whole last 10 minutes.

  3. Of course they did. They had to win in registration to make the playoffs. Every coach in the league would have done the same thing

  4. Honestly, what the hell is with this coaching “strategy” recently? I don’t watch every game, but the ones that I have all have coaches putting “Roger None” on the net super early! And 9/10 it doesn’t work.

  5. Flyers are garbage. This game was like watching two teams that didn’t want to make the playoffs. Caps will get smoked by NYR

  6. When I heard about that (while watching Detroit-Montreal), I was mad. Empty net? Really? Damn sure Washington were going to score and crush Detroit’s hopes 🙄

  7. Doesnt this give them the best draft pick by not getting to ot? Optimal strategy!

  8. Can someone explain to me why they did this? New to the sport and I just don’t see why? Was it a mistake? Were they trying to add an extra man up front?

  9. Lolol I read journalists talking about Edmonton doing this against the Canucks on Saturday…. They never got the chance lolol

  10. You’d think *someone* would have their thumb on the pulse of the league, given the circumstances of tonight. I don’t know the time difference between Detroit sending it to OT and the Oshie EN goal, so maybe it’s irrelevant but that’s just bruuuuutal.

  11. Had to win it in regulation. Maybe they knew about the Detroit game, maybe not. May as well end hard

  12. All I hear is whinning from the teams who didn’t make 6 Detroit shouldn’t have lost to Washington the last time they played, or Pittsburgh shouldn’t be a bunch of bitches.
