  1. I think we should be open to Nabers or Odunze. I think if we aren’t, we should be trading back 4-7 spots

  2. I think they’d go with Alt. Upgrading RT & locking in the air apparent for Matthews would be hard to pass up.

  3. If we stood pat at 8 and selected any of these three I’d be happy I think.

Turner – not a blue chip, elite edge rusher but he is potentially an elite defender in general. He will be on the field for 3 downs as he is good in the run game and in coverage.

Nabers – I love this profile of receiver. We’ve had the giant, tall possession receivers under art (London, Hollins, Edwards etc) but nabers is a monster in space and a pure playmaker. He put up monster numbers and yet he still has ample room to improve. His ceiling is crazy and I think he’s the second best receiver in the draft.

Alt – franchise cornerstone potential. I believe he had a pressure rate over his career of like 2%. Would sort out LT for a decade. Even with two starting caliber tackles already you can never have enough lineman. Would be really hard to pass on him if he’s there (although I’m quite sure Tennessee will not let him get to us.

I know defense is the bigger need but sometimes the best defense is an elite offense. If we have cousins/bijan/pitts/london/nabers/mooney this team will score 30 points per game. It’ll be similar to 2016 where Vic had a great season bc the other team was playing catchup the whole game. I do believe the defense is serviceable (probably better than 2016) and we can get by without selecting edge round 1.

  4. Personally, I’d take Alt. I think he’s the safest pick and has a high floor and that games are won in the trenches.

  5. I think you take Alt. A franchise left tackle is not something you stumble across often. Even if Matthews sticks around awhile longer at a high level, I wouldn’t be afraid to put McGary on the trade block.

  6. You can’t miss with these three…but my take would be Alt > Nabers > Turner. We should protect our old QB coming off an Achillis-injury as good as we can.

  7. I’d have to take Alt. He’s the most “sure thing” of the three. Not an immediate need but would definitely pay dividends down the road.
