Another Game Day in 1997

Here are some pics I took at one of the Ravens games back in 1997 or so. I was super fortunate I had a digital camera back then or else I probably wouldn’t have had as many images. I’m sure someone can determine which game it was. They all became a blur for me back then. Anyway enjoy them!

  1. This would be a late season game against the Vikings in December of 1988. The Ravens lost 38-28, clinching their third straight losing season as they fell to 5-9. Jim Harbaugh was their starting QB, going 16-26 for 212 yards, throwing one TD and one pick. Future Ravens backup Randall Cunningham went 32-55 for 345 and 2 TDs, 1 interception for the Vikings. This game was most notable for having three combined kickoff returns for touchdowns. The Ravens had two, by Corey Harris and Patrick Johnson. The Vikings had one by David Palmer. Most significantly for the Ravens, the offensive coordinator of the Vikings was Brian Billick, who would be named Baltimore’s head coach just over a month after this game.

Really good stuff in this gallery. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I think picture #9 is from a different date as they have the current helmet logo as opposed to the winged shield.
