  1. Good lineup.

KK has a career OPS around .900 against Stro, let’s see him heat up

  2. This is the “before players had a good spring training” RHP lineup.

Mid-February me would think this would be what we ran with a lot

  3. Hmmmm Cavan vs Ernie is a tough one for me at 3B.
I like Cavan and he’s capable, but Ernie has looked soooooooooo good at 3rd this year.

  4. Seems a bit weird to me to take a big downgrade at two infield defensive positions to keep your offensively-struggling CF in there, when Gausman isn’t a big flyball pitcher.

Using Schneider/Varsho in the OF and IKF or Clement at 3B with Biggio shifting to second gives you about the same overall defence and a better lineup. If this was about resting guys during a ‘day game after night game’ I get it, but that doesn’t seem to be the motivation.

  5. Me like. Hopefully Gaus can have it sorted a little more. Feet on the ground, working from dome. Go jays!

  6. Surprised to see Springer back in RF, thought they’d rest/DH him after playing the whole homestand on the turf. He must be feeling 100% which is good to see!

  7. Kirk lower in the lineup makes sense for everyone. He can get his RBI’s, and it leaves room in the middle of the lineup for guys to use their speed like they did yesterday.

Kirk still has a Silver Slugger is still in there. Giving him a proper catching schedule will hopefully put some speed back in his bat. The redemption tour is just getting started, 3 to 4 days a week.
