  1. Wonder who the player we tried trading for at the TDL that invoked their NTC was?

  2. Probably a season too late at this point for the top 6 winger. Benson is probably ready for that 2nd line spot opposite Jack Quinn, that last stretch of games they were dynamite together. But better to look for a top 6 scoring winger just in case Quinn goes down again with injury so it is whatever. But 3C is an absolute need. We need a good 2 way 3C who can put up like 35-40 points because we need someone to help put up points on nights where the top 6 isn’t carrying.

  3. So in this scenario is Skinner being pushed to 3rd line?

Peterka, Quinn, Tuch are all gonna be top 6

  4. Boone Jenner seems like an obvious pick for a #3 center. Two more years @ $3.75 million and he only has an 8-team no trade list. CBJ is also a dumpster fire and needs to start rebuilding.

  5. Benson is not a center, he might of played a little in junior but he is to small and is average skater, plus he ll be 19 why give him the added defensive dutys..

  6. As long as they don’t block out Kulich and/or Rosen I love the idea of this.

  7. Our forward lineup next season could realistically look sobering like this:

    Peterka – Thompson – Tuch

    Quinn – Cozens – Kane

    Benson – Jenner – Skinner

    Greenway – Krebs – Girgensons

This is a roster that really should make the playoffs. The one thing that stands out to me is how difficult it will be for any of our prospects to make the team if we go this route. I do think it makes sense considering I’d be apprehensive of putting benson or skinner in the top 6. If one of our prospects really impresses at camp like benson did last season I could see a skinner buyout or a spot of course opening up if there is an injury.

  8. So according to this report:

    Peterka-Thompson-Tuch

    ???-Cozens-Quinn

    Benson-???-???

    Skinner-Krebs-Greenway

I slated Krebs in here cause he should be cheap and he plays hard. Also no this is not where I imagine skinner ends up because that’s a waste of 9 million but for this exercise that’s where I have him for now, I would ultimately like them to figure out a way to get rid of him either trade or a buyout. There should be another spot for one of Rosen Kulich Savoie or Ostlund. Everyone is gonna kick and scream about not wanting to lose any of them but the reality is the top 6 is locked in place for the foreseeable future and there’s not room for 4 of your best forward prospects, at best there’s 2 spots in the middle 6 and that’s a stretch, you can’t dump your undersized high skilled prospects on the 4th line. Seems like one or more of them could be used in any trade Adams makes. Also I think Benson should get a fair shake in that top 6 role. So realistically I could see it look something like this.

    Peterka-Thompson-Tuch

    Benson-Cozens-Quinn

    Skinner (or ???)-???-???

    ???-???-Greenway

One spot to Krebs if he’s resigned, one to an Amerk and two more to a free agent/traded player and possibly another if skinner is gone. What order do you rank Kulich, Savoie, Ostlund and Rosen?

  9. What groundwork did he “lay” at the deadline exactly? I just don’t trust the guy to put a roster together..if anything they need a total revamp of the bottom 6. How about TWO centers who can win more than 40% of faceoffs?

  10. it doesn’t matter who he targets, no-one with any option to not do so wants to work with/for him. no-one.

  11. I wouldn’t take a single pick in this draft. So loaded with prospects move every pick possible for proven NHL talent. Jenner, RH shot defenseman, I’ll take a backup goalie for a 4th or 5th and let Levi have an entire Rochester season.
