  1. Good rip from Burly. Really thought we had something going there. Can’t imagine coming off the bench and immediately timing up a 100mpj heater.

Anyone else notice that Donny looks like he’s back to his lower stance?

  2. Reminder, we’re only 1 game under .500 and 3 games back from the division title. I know it’s frustrating right now but let’s give it a bit more than 20 games before we completely write the team off.

  3. Can we give noot a try at CF for a series and just see how having a lineup of 9 MLB quality hitters works out?

  4. A’s have a nice bullpen, and we faced their best starting pitcher today. More excusable offensive performance than past days, but the loss will rightfully draw more criticism. We won’t sustain a .500 record scoring 3 runs per game very long.

At least we got a series win.

  5. If Matz can’t get out of the 5th innings his starts might as well be bullpen days

No wonder the cardinals wanted to get rid of his contract

  6. Is it bad I’m already pretty apathetic about this season.

Feels like it’s gonna be a slow crawl / race to possibly be in contention for a wild card spot (woo hoo)

We have some exciting young guys and starting pitching has been better than anticipated but I’m the most bored I’ve been in 20 years and generally “meh” with excitement.

  7. Say what you will about the 2024 St. Louis Cardinals, but “let’s get out there and score exactly 3 runs every game” is a very **bold** strategy.

  8. Inability to score more than three runs 🤝 Inability to win the last game of a series

  9. In 19 games, the Cardinals have scored more than 3 runs 6 times.

I was just curious so I looked it up. It seems like we have scored 3 runs a lot so far this season. Not terrible, but rarely enough to win.

  10. Despite how poor our offense is, we’ve still driven in twice as many runs as the White Sox.

  11. what is the old saying, “you can’t win a title in April, but you can sure lose it”….feels like walking a tight rope right now

  12. The Cards appear more allergic to being over .500 than I am allergic to tree pollen 🙁

  13. I don’t know what needs to happen, but Goldy, Gorman, and Walker all need to wake the fuck up

  14. They need to figure out how to score more than three runs. But, today was always going to be hard against Blackburn. Rest up and move on boys.

  15. Nothing about this offense excites me. We have Goldy and Nado on the downside of their careers and otherwise a roster full of just decent streaky hitters. Gorman is probably the one exception but even he hasn’t started off too hot.

  16. The Oakland A’s are the second youngest team in baseball with an average age of 27.5 years old.

The St. Louis Cardinals are the third oldest team in baseball with an average age of 30.3 years old.

I’m seeing some errors though. It says avg player in Philly is a 6’11”, 197lb righty and that the oldest player on the Cards is 65 years old.

  17. The lamest thing about the season so far:

It has taken 19 games to face our first division rival on April 19th. Our next divisional rival will be seen on May 9th. So, almost 3 weeks later. Wait, it’s the same team..

So, when do we play literally anyone else in our division? May 24th. So, another 1.5-2 weeks..

2 months and 6 interleague series before we face the Cubs for the first time, and they will be the first non-Brewers NLC team we face.

  18. Well, maybe if the DeWitts get the sads that nobody buys their bullshit about needing half a billion to fix up an 18 year old stadium and sell, the new ownership can afford to actually put out a competent major league lineup and pitching staff out there on a nightly basis.

  19. Matz is just not fucking it. Feels like we are perpetually trying to get above .500. Fucking 3 runs again. Besides Masyn Winn, I think I actually hate this team.
