No way in hell Pete keeps his job after this bullshit.
Bring up Junior! Sometimes when you get a spark it benefits everyone, even pitchers.
We have last year’s bullpen at the start without the runs to cushion the bad outings. Offense shouldn’t be stranding men in RISP with less than two outs, but your closer’s gotta close with a lead.

this has *got* to finally end pete at closer for the future, right? I love him but please let him figure his shit out this season in low leverage spots

Pete needs to be removed from the closer role until he figures out his shit. Adam should absolutely be our closer. Use Pete in low leverage. Adam would have almost certainly ended it.
That was brutal. Time to put Pete in a low leverage role for a while. Good pitchers do get into these funks sometimes, but we can’t allow it to keep costing us close games. I have faith that he’ll figure it out, but for now he really shouldn’t remain as our closer.
Sure, this lineup doesn’t look good right now, but this loss falls solely on the shoulders on Fairbanks. He’s been so bad this season, and it started happening last season
A miracle the team has won as many close games as they have this year with the high leverage arms pitching as poorly as they have. That probably won’t continue if they keep looking as awful as they have.
So far in the year we crumble under pressure and love LOBsters.
All the obvious stuff, plus always exciting. GG.
The depth this org has shown has been incredible but there’s just not enough talent left. Gotta get some guys back healthy soon

Absolutely should’ve won that one. We were previously 6-0 in games decided by 1 or 2 runs this year so I guess that will start to tip back against us.
I think it’s safe to say we may be bottom feeders if we continue to utilize this bullpen

Next Fairbanks appearance I want to see him throw nothing but fastballs Jake McGee style. Have it be a challenge on him to get through an inning with nothing but. It’s such an incredible weapon for him it’s bizarre not to even just throw it down the middle.
When do we hear that Pete needs Tommy John
I love all the Pete hate. It’ll just fuel his crazy eyes and he will be back to psycho Pete here real soon.
