  1. Thanks for the years, Jeff. We all know a guy like you doesn’t just leave the game, so good luck in whatever your future endeavors are, be it broadcasting, coaching, or anything else.

  2. Lmao dude doesn’t even pretend to think it over. Just an hour after the game he dips.

  3. Jeff Carter, good luck and thanks for the memories. Dude was a warrior, a great leader, and a class act with an unfathomable positive effect in the locker room.

You can tell the entire room loves him to death, as do the coaches.

Not many players fet that kind of send-off.

I am going to miss the hell out of saying…

    BIG. JEFF. CARTER.

  4. Fuck. He was born 2 months before me and I have about 20-30 more years until I’m probably gonna retire. And I started working part time at 14, full time at 16 😂🥲😢😭😡🤬☠️

  5. 1321 GP, 442 G, 409 A, 851 P. 1X Calder Cup champion. 2X Stanley Cup Champion. 2X NHL all star. World Junior and Olympic gold medal.

    Hell of a hockey career.

He might have been overpaid here at the end of his career but something this season honestly just felt good for Carter, especially when he scored. He fit his role this season well. Finished his career never scoring less than 10 goals in a season, even as a 4th liner here in Pittsburgh.

    Enjoy retirement BJC!

  6. As a 39 year old man seeing the people the pens consistently put on their roster makes me proud. I grew up seeing greatness and still do; it’s entertainment. How many times have we seen “washed up” athletes dedicated to give us a product.

My childhood self wouldn’t believe 90% of the players the penguins ended up having on their roster!

It’s good to show memories and let people share in
    The experience. Well done pens.

  7. Great career, felt maybe he was a bit too much of a punching bag on this team towards the end. Hall of famer?

  8. I kept seeing people post stats about all the things that players like Crosby or Malkin could accomplish during this last game despite there being no chance for playoffs, I didn’t see a single post about this probably being Carters last game. He may not have been a good fit for the team these last two seasons, but he’s still a solid player with a great career
