  1. Considering the terrible amount of luck other teams have had with pitching injuries, this isn’t the worst. It sucks its our biggest free agent reliever in forever but it could be worse.

  2. I mean fine. Sacrifice this guy to the baseball gods if it means the team can stay healthy overall.

  3. Man, this kind of shit only happens to the Angels. I haven’t seen any other team have a top pitcher go down this year. Not one.

  4. Shit. Hopefully the vagueness of what’s wrong means he’ll be ready for next year. 🤞

  5. Not ideal but considering how many pitchers are injured league-wide, Angels are still in relatively good shape. Tampa, Texas, and Houston all have almost an entire rotation on the IL.

  6. Surprised he got this contract to start with tbh… And now he’s not even pitching this year? Oof.

  7. Sorry Perry, I used to defend you as GM, but this has to be the biggest mistake of your short GM career. The teams you’ve assembled have no chance of making the playoffs. Pitching hasn’t been addressed in any meaningful way for at least 5 years. It doesn’t matter how many runs they score if the pitching is subpar.

The unwillingness to do a full rebuild and making small changes around the edges doesn’t create more wins. It just means you’ll have a 75 win team once again.
