Adam Boqvist changing from #27, per Maetz. Thank Goodness. We should unofficially retire that curse.
#CBJ D Adam Boqvist says he will wear a new number next year. He was given 27 in Chicago and kept it when he arrived in Columbus but feels—after reading some of the history of the number on Twitter— that it may be a good time for a change. Not revealing new number just yet.

I’m a little surprised he only just heard about it considering the only two guys who wore that number and had a full time roster spot with the team were Ryan Murray and Manny Malhotra.
Murr was obviously super cursed between his back and getting every broken bone and separated joint known to humankind, and I can’t really imagine a worse way to wind down your career than Manny got.
