I hope whoever takes his place can top a .371 OBP.
Strange that they would rather have Hampson over Loftin.
I think this means the FO views Loftin as a possible long-term starting piece. They want him getting consistent ABs every day. If they thought he just had a future as a supersub, I imagine they would have kept him up. Plus he has options available.
