He Greg Madduxed the shit out of last night.
Tremendous! Houckamania !
His pitch mix was PERFECTION.
Pounded the zone, threw a shit ton of low strikes using his 2-seamer and splitter, and mixed the slider in enough to where it wasn’t JUST used as a 2-strike pitch out of the zone.
Truly a great outing.
Uncanny ability to simply throw slider after slider for strikes, and the batters would simply watch them or foul them off. Also got a lot of one pitch outs.
I’m so erect. Bizarro-Sale is fully operational
This was exactly what we needed at exactly the right time. The bullpen needed some time to recover after the Jansen blown save and Wink extra innings.
