  1. Interesting. Perhaps it’s a cope, but is there nothing to consider that the Caps are better suited to play closer games than when they’re trailing? With the limited upper end talent, it could make sense that when they get in a hole and have to open up the game, problems compound as the team isn’t suited to do that. Similar idea to triple option offenses in college. They’re good in close games and when ahead, but bad at passing/coming from behind?

  2. I wish these write ups would run the stats from return from the all star break, from there out they have been a very different team in terms of performance, especially on the power play.
