[Greg Finberg] Strong words from Michael Winger on Jordan Poole: “He kept saying ‘I’m gonna work, I’m gonna work and the work will pay off.’” “He had a slump, but he came through because he’s a worker, gamer, hooper, high-character player.” “It was moving,” Winger said with visible emotion.

  1. Poole came into the league straight ass and was the deserving most improved player of the year the season Ja won it. Dude is a grinder

  2. This has to make Poole feel good. He had a trying year for a number of reasons, but to have your GM be this emotional over you as an athlete/person? Pssshhhhttt…they’re gonna do right by him. This has to be it for Tyus Jones seeing how Poole can play PG1, Butler can be the back-up, and Deni can also run the offense. I truly believe that we’ll see the best pro-version of Poole in a Wizards uniform. I’ll take it a step further…he’ll have a total bounce back season (if healthy,) and find himself in the MIP discussion.

  3. The main thing I want to see from JP is to abandon the heroic, showboat balling and really work on fascilitating. The dazzle-ball should be on a backburner till his fundamentals are shining strong.
