DHGate Experience

What up y’all! I just received a jersey I ordered from DHGate and thought I’d go through my experience for anyone curious about ordering through them.

I placed the order Feb 19 after sorting by preferred sellers. I decided on a custom navy road jersey. I put the preferred name and number in the order comments and paid the $31.04 which included shipping. The initial delivery date was March 1 but that seemed unreasonable so I took it with a grain of salt.

By Feb 25 I had a tracking label and could see it was bouncing between Guangdong and Shenzhen. March 17, it had arrived in Ontario, California and been assigned a USPS tracking number. I assumed that I was in the home stretch. I was wrong.

This is where the package began bouncing back and forth between USPS warehouses in Indianapolis and Cincinnati every couple days for several weeks. I opened a ticket and called about it, and ultimately the tracker updated to show that the postage was counterfeit. Dealing with some work stuff, I decided to procrastinate a bit longer before taking it up with DHGate.

Then today, the package arrived. I guess if you ignore USPS whining about the counterfeit postage long enough, they’ll just deliver it anyway. The sizing is a little wonky and there are a couple stitching mistakes, but ultimately it’s a very decent quality jersey for $31. If you’re willing to send some money into the ether and trust that your package will arrive eventually, it’s worth doing. Just don’t get psyched out by the stick figure defecating a rainbow so hard his eye bleeds, as that’s the image they chose for their customer satisfaction survey.

  1. For $30 you order and forget. I have probably a half dozen different jerseys from there and haven’t had a single complaint.
