  1. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

#We take 3 of 4 in Fenway. Nice.

I think their fielding (minus the RF demon) was beginning to affect ours, but our bats took much better advantage of the errors in the field today with 5 runs off of 8 hits, 2 walks, a Fry HBP, a 🐐 stolen base, and 2 Red Sox errors. 🆓 and 🍟 each get a double on the day, and Gimenez at leadoff takes over where Kwan left off with a 2/4 and 2 RBI day.

While Cade Smith unfortunately has another shaky outing, the rest of the team today of Herrin(1IP), Big Man Gaddis(1IP), and Clase(1IP) got to show off why they’re the best bullpen in baseball. The combined line was 3IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, and 4K for a great closing to the game and series.

While a bit of a crumbly start for Cookie, he bounces back with a strong outing, making all the doomers say “ME WANT COOKIE” (I am so sorry). 🍪’s final line ends up being 5.2IP, 4H, 2R(Cade, why), 3BB, and 5K on 89 pitches. ~~The streak of no starters in the 6th inning may continue, but at least everybody in the staff is hanging in there and continuing to fight.~~ I stand corrected, COOKIE IS GREAT!!!!

Really hope that the Red Sox are affecting our fielding by proximity and it stays here in Fenway after we leave today. Yeesh. At least we had some ump support(kinda, robot umps pls) and the lone run given up with Cookie on the mound was, in fact, not “Ballgame”. Three against the As, three more against the Red Sox, let’s sweep em both.

  2. A not insignificant amount of the gamethread was happy to tell you this game was over before the first, btw.

  3. Not the prettiest of wins, but it’s a win, a series win, and keeps us at the top of the division.

  4. Three out of four against the Sox in Fenway. Road warriors this season. This could be a fun summer!

  5. Nothing like missing 3 games in a row because ballys stopped accepting my spectrum log in this week out of the blue. Why do i pay for this???

  6. Really nice bounce-back in a lousy weather game after the dominant performance from the Sox pitcher.

  7. Loving the resiliency from this team. Let them start to come back from 5-1 leads twice this series, won both games. Great bounce back after getting obliterated by pitching yesterday. I feel like teams of the past would not have bounced back as well as we did today, especially in shitty weather

  8. Game thread was pretty wild today. The hot takes were very spicy and all over the place

Solid game. Great gritty outing from Cookie. Rough one for Smith. Herrin, Gaddis and Clase held it down.

3 of 4 in Fenway is fantastic and never easy.

  9. Boston may not be the force they normally have been but taking 3/4 from an AL East team always feels good

  10. I told you guys to keep an eye on Grizzly Gaddis. The guy is pitching…

  11. Nice work guys, maybe we’ll finally get into the top half of the MLB power rankings!

  12. I hate taking Cookie out at 2 outs in the 5th, especially in hindsight, but at least they still won

  13. This team is showing 400% more fight than last year, even with pitching that doesn’t look like we’re used to. Love to see it
