Throughout the season, Juraj Slafkovsky was often compared to fellow, talented big man & top draft pick Quinton Byfield, who struggled early in his NHL career before having a breakout season this year. Here’s how their stats compare.

  2. I’m a huge Byfield guy, and in his D+2 he had 10 points in 40 games. Slaf obviously cleared that 👀

  3. I mean yeah but it took Byfield 4 years, and they are both pretty equal at the moment. I’d imagine Slaf will be much further ahead by year 4 than where Byfield is now.

  4. Watched Byfield a few times this year. Surprised he only had 53, guy is an absolutely filthy talent.

  5. Byfield was having a really good year and hit a wall a couple months ago … I think he’s gone 17 games looking for his 20th goal? Not sure what happened there.

  6. I think Byfield’s a great comp to Slaf but also I don’t think I exagerate when I say that Slaf today is better than Byfield today, while being much younger.
