  1. I fly and do my job and fly again the next day all the time… all flying is is sitting. I dont see the heroics. But GO CUBS GO

  2. My theory is he’s getting “sent back” to sit on the bench until he can pitch again. Then once he’s rested and can throw again they’ll do another swap.

    I hope I am right.

  3. Not sad to see Mastrobuoni get sent down, little puzzled about Wesneski though. Like one of three guys in our bullpen who throws strikes.

  4. There is a very good chance the Wesneski will be the extra guy for the double header on Saturday so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back, just will be interesting to see if he stays on the roster after that

  5. Wesneski can’t pitch for 3 days so makes sense. I hope we never see Miles again.

  6. Hmmmm, it seems like we need bullpen help…. not the smartest idea to send down a guy who can pitch

  7. I’m a little surprised they optioned Mastrobuoni and not Canario. Not that I want to see Canario sent down — I’d actually like to see him play more. But Mastrobuoni is a left-handed bat with some speed. I’m also wondering what Wisdom’s role on this team is now. He’s third on the depth chart at third base.

  8. Wisdom has been on fire at Iowa. Hopefully the ops he’s hitting there translate into his best career year. I know he’s 32 but we could really use his pop off the bench FTC

  9. Victim of his own success, figured he’d be sent back since he would be unavailable for a bit anyways

  10. I did not foresee Wisdom replacing Mastrobuoni on the 26 man roster. I would assume there will be more moves after the Marlins series, with Wesneski getting called back up.

Edit: Forgot about the extra guy for a double header. Maybe Wesneski pitches Sat and then gets added back to the roster officially on Monday.

Edit edit: You can scratch the call-up Monday since I also forgot about the ten day rule as well. Lol
