6. Imo, I think teams are going to call Monti’s “bluff”. The Vikings offer isn’t that good, their roster is strong enough that it’s more likely next year’s first will be in the mid first range. Bronco’s won’t want to risk a Panthers situation by trading Sertain. Payton’s job is safe so they can tank and rebuild for the 2026 class. Giants may just stand pat. They are getting an impact player anyway. Nabers, Alt, Bowers, Odunze all on the table minis whoever the Chargers’ pick. Going to have to ride out Jones’ contract regardless.

   The Chargers, however, would love this. They don’t have as many picks or high picks as us. Vikings will get desperate to overpay even more. Or they can bluff the Giants and swap for a more modest haul and still get the player they want.

   Either way, we win.
