Okay but hear is the thing. Kobe was one guy. We are talking three players here
the problem is the team is neither here nor there: not good enough to compete for a championship, not shit enough to tank for lottery picks. even if we traded away all positive assets after “the big 3”, i think they would be good enough to scrape by the 10/11 seed year after year
Kobe is one guy. They all don’t have to retire warriors. Shaq didn’t retire a laker
in my opinion, the opportunity to have all three retire as warriors is greater than winning a championship. yeah it sucks but what other big three in history can say they did that? spurs could’ve if parker had stayed. it’s rare enough for one guy to stay with one franchise let alone three. and with the success they’ve had for almost a decade, that’s special. i’m fine taking a few years of mediocrity for that moment.
