  1. I don’t give a fuck what the doomers say. Arvidsson with a 2 goal night and juice winning 6 seconds into overtime unassisted is momentum. We’re going into round 3 against the dirty Oil men with a fully healthy squad. It’s the playoffs and anything can happen. Buckle up.

  2. I was hoping for Dallas personally.

I think we have a much better shot at beating the Oilers, but win or lose I’m not looking forward to being harassed by their fans with suicide prevention messages for months after the series ends.

  3. Ok guys, see you all in Edmonton. We got in and got the best matchup we could given the circumstances. Let’s see what happens.

  4. I really, genuinely hate seeing the Oil and their godawful fans yet again (thanks NHL playoff format!) and it’s going to suck to get eliminated by that shitty franchise for three years straight, but this was the better outcome compared to getting swept by Dallas.

  5. I only saw the third period, so that was AWFUL until it wasn’t.

Thanks for another great season, everyone. It’s always fun to be part of these threads.

  6. Has anyone checked on the Vegas sub to see how they’re reacting to facing Dallas instead of Edmonton?

  7. That was way more difficult than it needed to be but… BRING ON ROUND 3 FUCK YOU OILERS

  8. RV would have been on pace for 68 points if he played a full season, maybe 70+. He looks even better than last season and might help us a lot with Edmonton

  9. Going into the WCF in 2014 I’m guessing there was a lot of doubt re the CHI matchup (I was hopeful but… Not confident). 2013 was in recent memory. Playoffs are a lot different than regular season. I think we have a good shot at taking the Oil.

  10. 10 upvotes and I’m flying to LA solo next week and watching the Kings take care of business on home ice

  11. I honestly couldn’t decide who I wanted to face in the playoffs. If we can take down the Oilers this time, I am a lot more confident with our possible R2 matchups than if we played Dallas.

  12. Kinda crazy that both the Lakers and Kings have these revenge matchups. One of them has to win right, right?

  13. Also, to those that haven’t noticed, the Oilers have never actually faced the 11-7. They’re going into game 1 never having faced some of our most successful combos. I truly think it was an act of gamesmanship by Hiller to run 12-6 our last matchup vs the dirty oil men

  14. Fox just nailed what I was feeling. This game was the Kings entire season in a nutshell.

  15. What a win had me stressing after the Hawks got the 4th goal. Kempe’s goal had purpose at the end, I don’t always agree with Jim Fox, however they needed the extra point for sure. Lord Jesus, hopefully this is Talbot’s worst start of the season, he needs to be strong. No soft goals. Got to stay out of the box against Edmonton and we will have a good chance. Go Kings Go!!!!!

  16. I still prefer the old playoff format. I dunno if playing Winnipeg would be better or worse.

  17. Stolly is from a tiny SK prairie town and played in Edmonton. I wonder if he appreciates Patrick shitting on Edmonton.

  18. I am 95% sure Talbot was trying to lose this game so he didn’t have to play McDrai in the playoffs.

But in all seriousness, ready for the playoffs GKG!

  19. Man I love these Kings and a win is a win, but 35 shots on goal VS 13 and we went to OT… yeeesh boys.

    Here we come Oilers!!!! GKG!!!!
