Ending Contracts Tracker

As it is currently the last game of the year, I wanted to look into who could currently be playing their last game with the hawks; according to https://www.nhl.com/blackhawks/team/contracts

Restricted Free Agents: Joey Anderson, Mackenzie Entwistle, Cole Guttman*, Reese Johnson, Taylor Raddysh, Lukas Reichel, Louis Crevier*, Alex Vlasic

Unrestricted Free Agents: Colin Blackwell, Tyler Johnson, Rem Pitlick*, Zach Sanford*, Jaycob Megna, Jarred Tinordi, Nikita Zaitsev*, Jaxson Stauber*

*=currently playing with the ice hogs

  4. When you finish 31st faces need to change. I would only keep Vlasic, Reichel, Anderson with Crevier and maybe Guttman (for AHL depth). They’ll want a rotating forward spot or two open for call-ups.

  5. While I get those of you saying should clear out some names based on where they finish, it’ll be tough not to resign some of they guys like Anderson, Blackwell and Johnson and Tinordi.

    Those guys are legit NHLers. It is a very weak free agent pool this year and their prospects are not really ready to join the big club full time.

    Important to keep improving Rockford too, out of that list I’d like to see them keep…

    Anderson (needs to be low $, low term, 2-way?)
    Entwistle
    Guttman (RFD)
    Reichel
    Crevier (RFD)
    Vlasic
    Blackwell
    Johnson
    Pitlick (RFD)
    Tinordi
    Stauber (RFD)

    Likely will be another long year for the Hawks next season, but another top 5 pick won’t be the worse thing either.

  6. The only guys you bring back are:
    Vlasic
    Reichel
    Guttman on a 2 way
    Crevier on a 2 way
    Stauber on a 2 way

    This team needs to be severely changed. Maybe bring back ONE of Entwistle, Anderson, Blackwell but everyone else needs to be gone. You need to win at least 10-12 more games next year

  7. Keep: Vlasic , Anderson, Tyler Johnson , Megna , Entwistle , Reichel , Maybe Stauber as replacement for Soderblom
    Beyond that jettison the others unless they are used as AHL depth.

  8. The few comments mentioning two-way contracts make me believe people don’t really understand two-way contracts in the real world but rather think EA’s version is correct.

    Anyway, I think the Hawks should only bring back Reichel, Vlasic, Guttman, Crevier, Anderson and Stauber. I personally would love to see Reese Johnson back. I also think the Hawks will end up bringing Entwistle and Raddysh back, though I would prefer they didn’t.
