  1. That was my bottom choice so I hope they make it look cool at least. All the AI art has been awful and didn’t help.

  2. They trademarked a bunch of names, probably casting a very wide net so they’re not buying names and domains from squatters

  3. Not gonna lie.. like the name ahh. That a.i. logo is to much. Simpler is better.

  4. Utah Raptors is too cool to pass up. If that runs into trademark issues, Utah Dino’s is a good back up.

For the Utah Dino’s, create a logo that can be on everything and then have different dinosaurs on different jerseys. So many cool opportunities.

Purple should definitely be the main color.

  5. Hey. I like it. I’d rock yeti gear. Catch me center ice in a full yeti body suit.

  6. I like the name – represents a mountain type monster. Big scary, intimidating, unique. Better than Buzz or Jazz. Jazz just works because of brand identity and history.

  7. the washington commanders ran into a lot of trouble with squatters trying to eat up potential names so that the team would have to buy them from them. it seems ryan is just trademarking a bunch of names to prevent this. Blizzard, Venom, Fury, Utah HC / Utah Hockey Club have also recently been trademarked. Ryan said the team would likely operate under a temporary name for the first season- looking like Utah Hockey Club

  8. It’s totally subjective, but Yetis feels like an AYSO kid’s soccer team. Too cheesy. I get that they are fierce and whatnot, but it’s a mythical creature– too corny for me.

I would prefer something directly related to Utah like peaks, raptors, or golden eagles. I actually would love the team to be called Utah Hockey Club long-term, sounds clean af and it works for soccer clubs, but I realize that is a minority opinion.

  9. Everybody knows that Yetis are from the Himalayas! Need to use proper species name of the bi pedal ape that live in North America A.K.A Sasquatch…. come on people.

  10. I really like Utah Outlaws as the name. With all the history and such. I don’t hate Yeti, though.

  11. I prefer the singular “Yeti” – Utah Yeti sounds cooler than “Yetis”

It also aligns with the oddness of “Utah Jazz” singular/plural

I think it works for the Seattle Kraken, anyway.

  12. So the owners of the trademark is Uyte? I figured it would be the smith group if this was done by Ryan Smith?

  13. Uyte also Trademarked “Utah Hockey Club”, “Utah Venom”, “Utah Blizzard” and more. It doesn’t mean anything. Chill.

  14. If we become the Yetis, I’ll give in and finally watch hockey. Despite not knowing fucking anything about it and being perpetually confused about what “power plays” are.

  15. I am interested to see if Ryan screws this up. Twitter seems to hav ea big influence on him so my guess is he will not commit to anything until Twitter gives the green light.
