  1. I have mixed feelings on Lombardi in general, but I enjoyed hearing him eviscerate the Falcons.

  2. There’s no one in the NFL, except Kraft, that wouldn’t hire BB if he was 62 instead of 72. I’m confused as to why those that didn’t hire him didn’t come right out and say that.

  3. This whole thing is so fucking stupid. I don’t get why Kraft felt the need to mettle with Belichick after letting him go. Like if he really wanted to needle him, why not trade him somewhere and make life difficult for him that way? Instead you do this faux happy break-up thing in public, then drag him through the mud on a massive media production, and then gossip to another owner and submarine Belichick’s chances at getting another job? Seriously? Kraft is such a fucking baby.

None of this changes that Belichick deserved to get fired, managed his way out of a job, and has fully ownership over what happened to this team. But it’s impossible to look at this whole mess of an organization and think Kraft isn’t the problem now.

  4. The proper thing for Kraft to do after he let Bill go in terms of his giving input to a potential employer of Bill’s is to either say something good or say nothing at all. Kraft saying something negative about Bill in the context of his current job search is exactly what a jerk or in Kraft’s own words, a “schmuck,”does.

And if it’s true Kraft made those comments to Blank after Bill’s 24 years of service and SIX Super Bowls, it just shows us how “Mr. Kraft” is incredibly self-centered. But I guess that’s what a billionaire has to be like in 99 percent of cases. It’s not the realm of nice and decent people.

  5. This actual made me gain a little respect for Lombardi. At least he put it out there that they’re friends and he’s not going to let the clowns in Atlanta try to bury him.

  6. I don’t know why anyone was surprised that Bill couldn’t get a job. Who watched the last 5 years and thought, “Wow, I’d like that on my team”? Yeah, no one.
