I think the trademark applications are legitimately from Smith’s team. When he was on Pat McAfee in January, the first potential name he referred to when asked (2:15 in [this video](https://youtu.be/dKrSrtBr9Bo?si=D0qazfKzqsCMlWZm)) was the Venom. He also referenced Yeti, which he liked as it was the U and the Y finally coming together. We also know that the team will not have the brand in place this season, and will likely be operating under the Utah HC/Hockey Club moniker.
That covers 4 of the 5 trademark applications, the last being the Fury.
Could’ve sworn I read somewhere else that this firm helps a lot of professional sports teams with trademarking
What I took from that video is, I think they’re looking at building a hockey only arena.
