  1. Bill Simmons turned into a useless, stupid turd about a decade ago. This bullshit is par for the course for that moron.

  2. I don’t love this take but if it’s become clear that this team right now has maxed out as a second round exit (kinda like Mitchell in Utah) then how can we be against making any changes at all?

  3. Bill Simmons is the Elon Musk of sports commentary. There was a time when he was interesting and thought provoking, but he’s become a troll looking for relevance anywhere he can.

  4. Love how everyone assumes we will trade Donovan for peanuts. I’d say if he is leaving it’s just as likely that he first signs a massive contract here then demands a trade. We can offer him a larger contract than any other team so if even if he wants to leave it’s in his best interest to resign and then ask for a trade.

  5. Tbh, I wouldn’t mind being able to get Jaquez. He’s a smart player, but could be another case of he’s great in the heat system, but not too good outside of it. Herro feels like an overlap with garland. I’m assuming the hypothetical trade for Mitchell to the Heat is like Herro, Jaquez, Jovic and a bunch of draft picks. Not the best haul, but honestly not bad. Cavs get some young wings and imo a more reliable scorer than LeVert in Herro. Heat gets a star with a decent injury history and stays in contention.

In a scenario where Mitchell does get traded, it’s impossible to recoup the value they gave up to get him. That’s usually how it goes imo.

To really be a championship contender, it’s all on Garland and Mobley getting better, and surrounding them with the right role players (3&D, Microwave shooters and a Stretch 4/big)
