‘Our culture … it needs to be improved’: Blue Jackets’ next GM will be a disruptor

  1. I agree the culture needs to change… I’m not sure that happens with Priest and JD still at the helm.

  2. I’m open to anything that would suggest a change in team culture of the last 20+ years of this team.

  3. When he mentions Disruptor that doesn’t give me hope that it will be the person it should be.
Sounds like it will be someone out of left field so they can be a “first” in their selection.

  4. They definitely need to shake the tree of Jim Nill. The Dallas Stars are the best run organization when it comes to developing and drafting talent , especially at the forward position.

  5. When I read that the next GM needs “significant GM experience” my heart sank. How bout exploring every candidate and taking the best option? The NHL is evolving and we need someone with new ideas, not an old dinosaur. They’re trying to do a Babcock for the GM position

  6. Look guys, I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I can *guarantee* that approximately **zero** people will see it coming if they hire me

  7. If culture improving means having a sharp, young hockey mind, cool, if it means someone knocking heads together to be a tough guy from the old hockey boys club, no

  8. What does JD do that we don’t like? Genuine question, as I’ve not seen any glaring issues with him in the org.
