As a Diaz hater the first little while he was here. I was so wrong.
Love the guy.

Edwin Diaz is unequivocally one of the coolest dudes in pro sports.
I need this man to be a Met foreverΒ
Diaz is so goated, Iβd do unspeakable things to watch him close a WS game for us
tfw when you realize Diaz loaded the bases and then closed the inning βjust to show he’s back
The ice in that manβs veins. Bases loaded. Donβt care I will end your threat. Damn I love watching him pitch.
Diaz is a good dude.
He’ll always be a favorite of mine. He’s one of a small number who came here, stumbled, got past it, excelled, and for that reason he’ll always be a super beloved Met to me.
Has a Met even changed his outlook as drastically as Diaz? He went from let’s face it, costing us a wild card spot in 2019 to probably the universally liked player on the team.
Diaz was so freaking good in 2022 that even if heβs never quite that good again Iβll always think of him well because the Mets played 8 inning games that year it owned.
