Is there a world where it is OK that Mekhi Becton is back on the Jets depth chart?

  1. While I think the best thing is for him to go. Similar to Zach, I see a world where he’s still on the team. If we can get him signed as a cheap depth player, I wouldn’t hate that.

  2. If he didn’t have possibly the worst attitude for a young player possible sure. But he is who he is.

  3. He has to be, unfortunately. He’s a first rnd tackle who is backing up a pair of constantly injured geezers.

  4. He’s a 25 year old left tackle. That 4 years ago was the 11th pick of the draft.

The fact he’s still a FA shows what the league thinks about him.

Still think he could be a quality player, does he want it though? It never seemed from the outside he cared enough to be good/great.

  5. Is he better than an OL taken after the 3rd round? If he’s cheap and can be depth why not?

  6. BIG TICKET really turned to BIG BUST real quick. The fact he’s still a FA means he’s asking for way more money than he’s worth (backup RT money).

  7. I’d like him on the team still. Still young, further he gets from injury the better he will be.

  8. I still believe in Mekhi. Think he has been dragged through the mud by most fans. Dude played through the season which was a big thing. He struggled but he showed a lot of flashes rookie season. New system + knocking rust off + OL coach that shall not be named I think allows for a little leeway? Now, he may just not want a backup job with the Jets and that’s fine but I never got the Becton hate
