  1. Pick – Player, Position, School (Current Consensus ADP)

2.33 – Trade: (Panthers receive 48, 96, 2025 4th; Jaguars receive 33.) – Was aiming for Nate Wiggins, AD Mitchell or Chop Robinson. With all of those players selected trading down was the preferable choice.

2.39 – Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina (50) – Panthers are by all accounts, enamored with Legette. So much so that they’ve visited with him at least 4 times in the pre-draft process. Legette should fit in nicely as a weapon for Bryce that can separate from, make contested catches, as well provide great RAC ability. Plus that accent of his fits right perfectly in Carolina.

2.48 – Payton Wilson, LB, NC State (41) – Another local prospect, who if it wasn’t for his injury history would be a first round prospect. His ability to get to the ball carrier has Luke Kuechly vying for the Panthers to draft him. With the departure of Frankie Luvu and Shaq Thompson coming off a broken leg entering his 9th season, it would be good get a top tier linebacker to learn under him and Josey Jewell.

3.65 – Jonathan Brooks, RB, Texas (51) – Arguably the top RB in the draft. Brooks would immediately improve the Running Back room in Carolina even coming off a significant injury. Chuba and Sanders would also allow Brooks the time to fully recover without the need for rushing. Brooks could become Bryce’s 3 Down Back.

3.96 – Sedrick Van Pran, C, Georgia (99) – Panthers do not have a Center on the roster, Austin Corbett is reportedly transition from RG to C and may do well there with his playing experience, but he’s coming off back to back ACL and MCL tears. SVP will provide for a solid back-up with experience in a Zone-scheme, which David Canales is looking to implement in Carolina.

4.101 – Cade Stover, TE, Ohio State (88) – Stover could instantly come in and compete for TE1/2 on the roster. Ian Thomas has been JAG and while Tommy Tremble has shown flashes of TE1 traits, he needs to show more consistency. Stover is a little new to playing TE, but has already shown amazing athleticism and ability as an all around TE.

5.141 – Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest (122) – Another local prospect that could immediately come in and compete for a starting corner spot. This was a great value pick and it just so happens he shares the same trainer as Jaycee Horn… heres to hoping he can stay healthier than Horn.

5.142 – Anthony Gould, WR, Oregon State (201) – The War Room convinced me of this pick as I was not too familiar with his profile. He does show some incredible ability to separate and it seems if he was a couple inches taller he’d be much higher on draft boards. Definitely worth a flier in a new Wide Receiver room where he can learn from Deiontae Johnson and Adam Thielen.

7.240 – Marcus Harris, DT, Auburn (224) – Solid value pick here with not a lot of defensive line options. Panthers have added to the Defensive Interior during the off-season, but their run-stopping ability last year leaves a lot of room for growth. Would likely back-up A’Shawn Robinson

  2. I would’ve personally taken McConkey at 33 and Payton Wilson at 39. Not the biggest fan of the trade down with them on the board still
