Damn great rant. I can’t fucking believe the bulls lead the league in attendance. I knew they were doing well but wow. Fans need to stop giving money to the Reinsdorf’s, it’s the only message they would pay attention to. Michael supposedly runs the Bulls now and he damn sure isn’t any better than daddy. At least the McCaskey and Wittz families want to win, can’t say the same about the Reinsdorf’s. Wish we had an owner like Mark Cuban running both the Sox and Bulls. This city deserves someone who cares and tries to do their best to win
Sums up my feelings perfectly about the White Sox too.
Reinsdorf and Co seem perfectly content with running a mediocre MLB/NBA team out there and preying on “Casual Fairweather Fans” to keep them afloat with ticket and merchandise sales while the “Hardcore Fans” who are fed up with this shitshow are the lesser minority, Applies to the Bulls much more than the White Sox seeing how the Bulls are a much bigger brand what with Michael Jordan and their 90’s run and all, Not to mention the White Sox were always overshadowed by the Cubs too, Well then you start to get the point.
I haven’t been to a Sox game since the end of the 2021 season and haven’t tuned into a Sox game on NBC Sports Chicago since around the all-star break 2022 and I’m going to keep it that way until their is major change in ownership or that old bastard is 6ft under.
Will I still keep a pulse on the team? Sure, I’ll still follow news through online or listen to some podcast here and there and maybe even watch a free game on “MLB on FOX Saturday Baseball”, If I get free tickets and parking maybe I’ll reconsider if family or friends want to go, But even if I do, Do I really want to torture myself watching this current complete shitshow of a team?
My motto since their rebuild failed/downfall has began, “If ownership doesn’t give a fuck, Then why should I?”
Didn’t this happen and it led to AKME?
The elder Reinsdorf doesn’t have much to do with the Bulls anymore. Son Michael runs the team.
Can we get a flair of that guy? Until we get another Berto at least?
