  1. I had a dream last night that we traded down and ended up with 5 picks in the 1st round (don’t ask me to explain the math). Didn’t draft a QB, but did get MHJ, OT, DE and a safety… I guess it’s Bagent time?

  2. From this list:
    1. No other QBs besides CW were looked at
    2. It looks like we wanted to cover our bases a bit with a trade down as we looked at Chop Robinson and JPJ.
    3. There’s a lot of other names here that I’ve never seen before. They for our third round pick?

  3. With so few picks and at least one of our picks locked in 100% at #1, will be curious to see if we managed to actually get all of our future Bears in on 30 visits. Don’t think that happens very often.

  4. What do you think? We gonna draft Caleb Williams or one of the other QBs? /s

  5. How unhappy would you guys be if we traded back from 9 to the mid-late 20’s for a larger haul, and drafted Xavier Worthy , definitely not a WR1 guy right now, but real gamebreaking speed and could be a great WR3 behind Keenan and DJ and i think he add’s more to the offense than just his speed

  6. Notable missing to me: Joe Alt, Fashanu/Fautanu/Fuaga, Byron Murphy, Newton. Not sure if that means anything

  7. I’m fascinated to see how teams handle Bowers. In an alternative reality he doesn’t get hurt, UGA wins a championship, he scores a few TDs in the BSC games, and is considered the best player in football. I get maybe he doesn’t have the right measurables and has injury history but in August 2023 ESPN had Bowers ranked the #2 player in college football. (Rome was #20th, Nabers was 37th). I’m not even agreeing ESPN was right.

  8. I am going to be honest, I can’t believe we used 30 visits for 3 corners. I would have liked to seen visits for guys like Braswell, Kneeland, and Solomon or Hunt to see if we could comfortably address Edge later.

  9. They probably believe Joe Alt isn’t going to fall to them so no bother in wasting a visit, if he does fall to them it’s probably an automatic pick.

More interestingly is the lack of DT…

  10. I’m loving this. Our biggest problem at 9 (or wherever our 2nd pick ends up) is going to be which one of the amazing talents do we take? There’s like 7+ players that we should all be happy if we end up with.

  11. Makes you wonder if we’ll pick up a swing tackle or an interior OL to develop behind our current line.

  12. So did they only really liek “talk” visit/watch Caleb’s pro day? I mean I’m sure they saw the other guys tape but seems like they were in on Caleb before the offseason. I’m not complaining just interesting to see

  13. I would have to assume that the other 6 spots have just not been reported, right? Unless the bears org is wildly behind schedule, there’s no way the bears are still hosting prospects.

I’m interested as to whether the other 6 visits have been intentionally kept under wraps. Don’t really know why we would keep the other qb visits a secret since everyone knows we are doing our due diligence on them, so maybe it’s possible we truly didn’t feel the need to bring anyone beside Caleb in.

I have a feeling we brought in a few more of the top guys like Joe Alt, but maybe not. Likely it’s not a matter of us conducting 6 secret visits as much as there just always are going to be a few prospect visits that aren’t reported on.
