The Game Thread vibes were fantastic tonight. The win was nice, too
Nice save Romano
Daulton Varsho.
Daulton Varsho im sorry I wasn’t aware of your game
Kikuchi has legit been our second best pitcher after Berrios
NUMBER 100 FOR ROMANO
Congrats to Romano on save 100
5 is the magical number
i hope daulton keeps hitting lotsa homers
Jordan becomes the 5th #BlueJays closer with 100 career saves, joining Tom Henke (217), Duane Ward (121), Roberto Osuna (104) & Billy Koch (100)
Why score many runs when five runs do trick
Justice for Bo Bishow. (Bicheau? Bisho?)
KOOCH WAS LOOSE
N=5
💯
The AL East is wild man. Toronto has a 13-10 record which would be second place in the division of the team they just beat (Royals). What a crazy competitive division it’s almost not even fair.
doing exactly what they should be doing against these non-ale teams.
kooch was mostly great again and varshow continues to be the goat of baseball.
8/13 victories being won on 5 runs, with 3/13 being less than 5 runs scares me
Varsho has this Auston Matthews dawg in him
There was many times last year we would have gone on a killing spree for 5 runs
# n=5 reigns supreme
n≠6
The Blue Jays haven’t lost a series in over 2 weeks and are a win away from extending that streak. Just. Keep. Swimming.
Save 100 for Jordan!
Jordan Romano is actually smiling!
Players other than Vladdy to initiate a water bath in the past week:
* Justin Turner
* Bowden Francis
* Tim Mayza
“The organization could’ve given up on me multiple times.” 😭
Didn’t get to watch much but glad they started off the series with a win. Was regaling my friends with how much I love Yusei, whether they wanted to hear it or not. Will be there in person for the next two, so let’s keep it going boys!
Just when I’m getting really down on Bo and thinking he’s going to need to really change something, he turns into BO again.
Dalton is on fire 🔥
We have to have the best starting staff in MLB. Five deep
Since April in 10 wins, we scored exactly 5 in 7 of them. I feel like putting a house down on Jays spread and exactly 5 runs.
Been saying all year that Turner is probably a better defensive first baseman than Vlad, right now. Which isn’t a knock on Vlad, more a comment on how difficult 3B is and how even a below average 3B is a well above average 1B.
If I was gonna buy a jersey, it would be Garcia 93. He’s cuttin em down like chaff and I love seeing him take the mound. A weapon like that is invaluable.
Vladdy is still struggling a bit, but something I’ve noticed is that compared to last year, his walk rate is way up. He’s swinging at outside pitches way less and he’s getting a walk 15% of the time and he’s nearly top 10 in the league in total walks. It’s why despite barely hitting about 200 and not slugging the ball at all, he’s still got an above average OPS.
Yusei Kikuchi win so Yamazaki whiskey will be drunk tonight in the clubhouse.
Nice to see that John Schneider never had to make any decisions in this game. That fucking guy made the worst. Ever. That has been. Bring back a good manager. Is Cito still alive?
The Toronto Five Jays
We need Cito Gaston back.
John Schneider is sniffing Roger’s ass.
John Schneider and the entire Roger’s crew can fuck off and we’ll still have our Bluejays.
I like saves
ffs we need an impact bat at the top of the lineup – Springer/Vlad need to get their shit together or we need make a trade!
Now it’s your problem Schneider. Ya want to knock us out of the playoffs again this year?
After their first years, if you told me Varsho, Berrios and Kikuchi were among the teams best I’d have said you were nuts
I can’t help it. Remember the April Chapman has last year?
John Schneider still sniffing corporate ass.
As we speak John Schneider is over at head office sniffing corporate ass.
Kikuchi allowed two earned runs…pretty bad by his standards
