So many Preds and (for some reason) Oilers fans on socials today tilted about people enjoying life, why?

I'll never understand people dumping on other people having fun that doesn't impact anyone else. Sad individuals tbh. (HELLO SALTY LURKERS, HOW IS YOUR DAY GOING?). Most of the Preds fans seem chill though, great fanbase.

Preds fans are understandably upset because they lost the first game and our online presence is significantly larger, so it would be pretty annoying seeing the celebration of the opposing fans everywhere you look for hockey content.
Oilers fans are just born wrong.
Ya I really don’t get why so many people were pressed about Canuck fans enjoying a playoff win after a decade of darkness. Plus it doesn’t matter if it’s round 1 game 1, we always celebrate on south Fraser and Scott road! It’s our tradition. We’re having fun and enjoying the boys in the playoffs. What a stupid thing to be upset about.

Well, we’re equally annoying to Oilers fans (especially with our superior online presence) so it goes both ways. Round 2 is gonna be fun
I saw the Twitter thread lmao, there were some unhinged responses. I think what started it was someone posted the usual “hahaha Vancouver riots funny lmao” and someone responded with a picture of the mass shooter in Nashville.
Someone went a little too far in the shit posting.
I hate how the home playoff game in 9 years has morphed into “not played a playoff game in 9 years “
No. We played in the bubble year and won a playoff series.
Now that game one is over, I wish all pundits, talking heads dropped the 9 years thing and used the bubble year as the reference year for the last Canucks playoff games.
Someone on YT said, after the two goals in 12 secs, Vancouver fans are celebrating like they won the Cup and they should be embarrassed. Turns out buddy boy was a Tampa Bay fan.
Kill them with kindness the canadian way. Keep it classy

Oiler fans forget how they missed the playoffs 10 yrs in a row while stacking up first overall picks ( many of them were busts) while being a joke of the league, then lucked out with mcdavid even thought i believe the sabers had higher odds that year.
Also, the bubble year, they didn’t even qualify while they were one of the host cities. Meanwhile, the nucks pushed vegas 7 games 2nd round.
As canucks fans we ate good for a period of time and hopefully things can go back to that.
Until Dallas and Edmonton show us what they can do, this was the most explosive I’ve seen the Canucks all year and I can actually see them coming out of the West if they can keep playing with this fire lit under them. Everybody did a good job and we can be even better than this if we can just play a full 60 minutes for every remaining game.

I made the mistake of engaging a cart pusher at my local Costco decked out in full oilstain gear, asked if they think the series was going to more than 5 for the oil.
Said they are getting their 6th cup and promptly turn his back to me.

I cheered for the Oilers every post season because I wanted to see McDavid finally win a Cup. Now that my team is back in the post season, I’m suddenly the asshole here for cheering them on? I’ve waited 9 long years for this city to have playoff vibes again.
Definitely think it’s funny seeing Americans smugly crying about the riot 13 years ago, meanwhile in 2021, a hoarde of gravy seals tried to overthrow their capital and have a big old riot of their own over it.
Worry about what your country is gonna look like this fall over an election, and not what my city did 13 years ago, guys.
