Lol as if they’re going to tell someone he can’t have number 10 just because their previous 10 asked to be traded a month prior….

Take it easy on the poor guy, it’s gotta be tough having 160 pound Mike McDaniel yell at you that you’re not worth your contract.
I mean it’s definitely reasonable to assume that when Mahomes retire they will retire his number #15 for the Chiefs.
But I don’t think Tyreek has done enough to retire #10 for him right?
Starting? He has almost non stopped talked about the Chiefs since he left. He sounds like jealous ex. He wanted to get paid and good for him he is the best WR in the league. For all accounts I heard the Chiefs were willing to go very high and if accepted he could have had two more rings, more prime time games and better endorsement opportunities.
he’s listed multiple reasons for why he left, guy says he has no regrets but won’t stop talking about the team. He’s said money, not being the number one target, and wanting to grow his star power all of which he felt he could do better elsewhere. He was right, but he seems regretful about what he walked away from.
He thought the offense would die without him, I remember him implying Pat would struggle without him that offseason. Good riddance, even though I do miss him from time to time; it’s quotes like this that make me not.
Shouldn’t have demanded a trade then, bud.
Chiefs should respond: “The number 10 is reserved for people taken on day 3 of the draft”

I do agree it would have been nice to leave 10 un used for a couple years. I don’t think tyreek has ever trashed the chiefs or anything. Don’t really understand chiefs fans disliking him now. It was a win win. Tyreek got the bag, and we got a shit load of draft picks that helped us win 2 straight superbowls.

Why wouldn’t he? You don’t want the one you leave to be successful after leaving. You want them to need you to be successful. He can’t have his cake and eat it too though.
I’ll let the guy with two Super Bowl rings keep his number over the guy with one.

in all honesty i dont think any player has gotten to the “retire the jersey” level. 10 is in a 3 way tie between Trent Green, reek and pacheco. none of them have had a truly outstanding career to earn it.
pacheco could get it if he stays and has an insane career. trent green, although a respectable career, never won the superbowl. and was only with us for like 5 years. reek wasnt with us for long enough to deserve it.
