Please god give the kid a chance. His hammy isnt right and hes learning this shit.
He needs to look at how Murray played tonight. Shit wasn’t going for him and he still kept being aggressive. Going to the basket, working the midrange.
Star players need to do star player things. You are paid what you are paid cause you are supposed to lead us, not pass off responsibility to TJ McConnell.
I need 25 from him in game 2
I wonder what Haliburton thinks when he watches Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray, and Jalen Brunson all shoot the ball over 20 times on poor percentages and still win the game. Those guys have all had great playoff games scoring in the past as well. He came out and shot 7 times as the team put up the worst offensive performance all season. If he doesn’t adjust his approach we are in trouble.
Won’t surprise me at all to eventually hear in the offseason how much the residuals of the hamstring injury affected him the second half of the season, but I’ll give him credit for not using it as an excuse for himself. Cant be easy in his part.
