Coming off the best era in franchise history… we sign 2 former MVPs, have 2 future MVPs come through our system, and sign multiple former all-star players. This failed era (2012-2023) bothers me sm 🙁
Now after regression, drug relapses, injuries, death, and a revolving door of terrible luck we find ourselves in a 9 year playoff drought. Sell the team Arte!!

Arte has made the stupidest decisions. Signs the worst contracts, no depth, controls the gms so he basically is the gm, doesn’t invest in improving player facilities at any level, no stadium renovations for one of the oldest baseball stadiums, cut valuable scouts, I think stopped scouting internationally for years, has his billboard friend with no baseball background as the president of baseball operations.
Arte has always loved the stars but that’s about it. Always flirted with a top 5 payroll but never quite got it there which killed the major league depth. He also refused to pay for proper organizational infrastructure which killed the minor league depth and ultimately it hurt the MLB team. Hopefully this season makes him sell once and for all
