This season won’t be the same

I just learned that my dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He has anywhere from one to three months to live. The tumor is aggressive and has become entangled with both his heart and major arteries. I will never forget watching games with him. I will hold those memories close and I hope to replicate them with my three year old son. A loose Japanese translation – “a man will never know death until his dreams are no longer borne by another” he was part of the bills fandom and I hope that as such his spirit will live on through this extended family and our own. One last go bills for Jack

  1. I’m very sorry for the diagnosis. Spend as much time as you can with him, and treasure all the memories. I lost my mom last year to lung cancer, so if you need someone to chat with shoot me a dm. All the best to you and your family.

  2. Tough prognosis, but it’s not over yet. I hope that you find optimism and hope despite the sadness you feel now.

  5. Oh no. What a turn of emotions. From the thumbnail I honestly thought this was going to be a happy thread about meeting Hide the Pain Harold. Your dad looks just like him! I’m sorry.

  6. Condolences broski, I’m hoping the grey in the beards is from a long, good life for both of you.

  7. Go Bills. I hope he enjoys watching the games with Pancho in the best seats in the house.
