[Sam Blum] Ron Washington on Mike Trout’s final at bat: “Bases loaded, got an opportunity to at least tie it. Just got to swing the bat.” Trout: “You want to put the ball in play obviously. The past week or two, I’ve been off and on at the plate. No excuses, I’ve got to come through.”

  1. Everybody is upset about this.. rightfully so but I was a little more irritated when O’Hoppe dropped two foul tipped balls in a row. Which would’ve ended the inning😤.

However baseball is a long season, and most games are close. Good to see a close game with Baltimore after they shit on us for the opening series.

  2. Trout seems like he’s too much in his head. That high fastball is living in his brain. He thinks about how it’s his weakness, and when he sees it, he freezes for an instant hoping it’s high. Kimbrel’s too good to make that mistake. You’re going to have hit his pitch. Come on, Mike. See the ball. Hit the ball. (And the first pitch is usually the best pitch you’re going to see. You may want to hit a few of those to keep the pitchers honest).
