[Birch] Matt Mervis and Hayden Wesneski called up from AAA. Haven’t heard the corresponding moves yet.

2. Probably sending down Colton Brewer for Hayden. Not sure who for Mervis

3. Kinda feels like this is Mervis’s last chance to show something at the MLB level before a release.

7. Uhh why Mervis? We have Cooper and Busch unless one of them is hurt. Maybe Canario goes down but I think we need OF depth.

8. If Wesneski is coming up, I would wonder if either Professor to IL or something with Smyly. Mervis doesn’t make sense because Cooper seems to be playing fine, Busch is great. Unless they play on keeping Morel playing at 3B and Mervis is a tandem DH with Wisdom?

9. Random guesses:

   Cooper is hurt or DFA’d. He’s redundant as a RHB with Wisdom and Canario. Mervis as a lefty DH would be nice.

   Happ is back, and Canario is getting sent back down because they don’t need three right-handed DHs.

11. See the long play of this being possible setup for a trade involving Mervis if he shows anything. We need pitching/BP help big time. Doubt Busch is the guy on the table but you never know if the price is right.
