  1. the day 2 talent is awesome, id gladly take ~2 more picks in the second/third round

  2. Yeah, I would be pretty happy about this. Seems like around pick 20-25 is a pretty steep drop off and there is a pretty level playing field between picks 25-50 or so.

If a big name falls into our lap that would be great, but I’m fine with getting a few extra lottery tickets in the 2nd/3rd, especially when he has those 6ths to move around with and the extra 4 next year.

  3. I don’t see the Lions trading out of the first when the draft is in Detroit. Plus a first year option on a rookie will be necessary with a lot of the team’s star player getting new deals in the next couple of years.

  4. I am on board with whatever moves they make and whoever they get, whenever they get them. The only bummer would be for people that are there waiting for the day one pick.

  5. Would certainly be anticlimactic considering we’re hosting the draft, but if that’s how the pieces fall…we gotta let him cook!

  6. Let’s hope. We need to recoup a 4th. There’s around a 90 pick window from the 3rd to 5th where we don’t pick. Usually, there are some good developmental/depth players there.

  7. I have 100% faith that Brad will not let the fact that the draft is in Detroit impact his decision making here. Only time will tell, obviously, if trading back will be the *right* decision long-term, but BH is definitely not going to be affected by the prospect of people being mad at him about it.

  8. If a player Brad wants isn’t available, this is the best case scenario.

What he did last year turning pick 6 into picks 12 and 18 was beautiful.

  9. Let him cook. Im ok with trading down as long as we get our guy and pick up some capital along the way. If we do trade down I don’t think it will be far

  10. Driving down from way up north but can only be at the draft for the first day. I really hope this doesn’t happen 😔

  11. Idk if we are going to be able to get him where we are at and we won’t if we trade back but the way I want Kool-Aid specifically for the meme of it all 😭😭 (also like I think he would be good on the team etc etc 💀)

  12. I personally believe we are more likely to trade up for who the management likes than move back if there is nobody on the board we want.

It honestly all depends who the team has graded as first round talents. On Inside the Den from last year I think they only had a little more than a dozen players with first round grades if I remember correctly.

  13. I may be in the minority, but I honestly hope they do trade back.

I doubt the Lions have 29 players with a first-round grade, so when it gets to their pick at 29, they could attempt to trade down into the mid to late 30’s and still end up with a player with a similar draft grade while also acquiring more picks.

Now what I’m *more* curious about is if they see anyone with a middle first-round grade that they’d consider moving up for at any point. I’m not sure they have the capital to move up very far, but BH has made it clear he’s not afraid to maneuver to get someone he covets.

  14. That’s a great feeling as far as I’m concerned. I hope Brad trades back and gets more top 100 picks. It’s a deep top 100 class and really weak after. I want Brad to have a many dart throws as possible
