I agree with this heavy, I think if we want Jalen to take that next step (20/10/5) we might have to lighten his load. We were giving him superstar defensive matchups , having him play center and a fuckton of minutes.

Wasn’t there a stretch where he had to guard KD, Lebron, PG / Kawhii back to back to back or something?
So basically same thing we’ve needed for the last 3-4 years.
This is part of the reason why I want to try jj at 3 and oo at 4. Ofc we would need a center who can shoot and defend (maybe filipkowski?) but all those I feel would free up jj plus all that length would allow us to trend up on the defensive end.

Agreed especially if OO is going to be our starting center. I really do think a Trae-JJ-OO core can lead us to a respectable or even great season IF we address our perimeter defensive woes.
Landry, please get us wings who will fight over screens, slide their feet, dig down on drives, communicate, close out on threes and jump passing lanes.
In other words we need a bigger two guard. Tell us something we don’t know. Trade one of the point guards.
