    Our history with backup goalies isn’t great so I’m not getting my hopes up too much, but this is wild.

  9. I have been a Preds fan since 2002 yeah this might be a sweep for Vancouver. Nashville sucks with back ups.

    Win-win to me. Hope he’s alright and would prefer we beat them at full strength, but if not then our odds just significantly increased.

  14. You hate to see it. But when “luck”, I feel dirty even calling it that, falls your way you have to take advantage. This is massive.

  17. Hoping he’s OK. Also knowing how playoffs can go I wouldn’t get excited for this thinking it will be any easier on us. There have been lots of situations where a backup goalie lights it up in a pressure situation. Our team will need to keep up the heat regardless and not get lazy thinking it will be easy.

    Boys, can you not make DeSmith look like a Vezina candidate tho?

  22. Wonder if this was a product of Lauzon getting taken out into the net midway through the 2nd on the Teddy Blueger interference call.

  24. Bummer all around. Bummer for the Canucks because that seriously hurts their chances. Bummer for the Preds because now even if they win the series people will just chalk it up to Demko being hurt. Bummer for the audience because you want to see the best of the best playing in the playoffs.

  25. Canucks fan here, just wanted to offer my sincere congratulations for winning the series. Please beat Edmonton for us, or at least hit Draisaitl a lot. God I hate that pissy bastard.

  29. If he was playing injured game one, that’s crazy. He still played so good, had a CRAZY save early.

    Who is their backup? I hope he’s prepared to have a good time. We love to give backups the best games of their career. lol

  33. Given our ability to make a backup look like Hasek or Brodeur, this isn’t necessarily the end of the Canucks.
