Thinking we find out on Thursday during the draft. If he’s still a Niner at the end of Round 1, he’s probably one for the next few years.

Well obviously he’s a top talent he’s going to get another contract. Such a dumb line.
Sounds like Deebo in 2021 where it’s wait and see if a deal comes in fruition in the 1st. The 49ers will have a lofty ask, Silver says 1st plus more, we will see if there is anyone willing to take that deal.

Actually, we can just keep him under his current contract for another year, without doing anything at all, because after all he is currently under contract which means he has already agreed to play for us this year, which means other teams can’t simply trade for him, you dumbass.

I’d only trade aiyuk for two pieces and that’d include a first rounder, plus a second/third or a capable starter. Even then I’d prefer we signed him but if the price is too high, we can’t just go lateral move and get one unproven rookie.
That’s likely too far for most teams anyway, so we’ll see. I doubt a trade happens tbh.

By the time those numbers spike in 2026, the following highly-paid Niners would no longer be under contract (barring extensions): George Kittle, Charvarius Ward, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel.*
*They would also have outs on big-money deals for Trent Williams and Javon Hargrave that could save considerable room, if needed.*
*There are only two legitimate reasons the Niners would want/need to trade Aiyuk:*
*1. They get an offer that’s too good to pass up* *2. His price simply goes beyond what they’re willing to pay*
*Neither has happened to this point. Could that change? Of course.*
*But the bottom line is the Niners have to start thinking of the next lucrative deals they sign as guys who will be part of the next “nucleus” of stars to build around.*

i don’t think aiyuk is going anywhere and the 49ers will get an extension done in july or august just as it’s been the case with recent extensions with deebo, bosa, and warner the past couple of years

There is no way in hell that Brandon Aiyuk doesn’t re-sign, he’s Purdy’s go-to. The only people that want this to fall through are the “fans” who want to see the team go back to the dark days of J.T. O’Sullivan.
The track record of WRs who go in the late first(outside of Aiyuk) is not good. You’re talking about guys like Treylon Burks, Rashod Bateman, etc. It’s not a guarantee you get a good receiver in that range.
