If the LA Chargers do NOT trade back from 5th overall, @TonyPauline says they’ll draft either Marvin Harrison Jr. or Joe Alt. It’s believed GM Joe Hortiz is pushing HC Jim Harbaugh to lean Joe Alt > Harrison with the pick.

  1. I just really don’t get this for the Chargers lol.
They saw how frustrated Herbert got with receivers not able to catch the ball last year and got EVEN worse there, yet they don’t want to take a home run pick in Malik Nabers? Or MHJ if they got that lucky?? They’d rather move a guy to RT who’s never played a snap there??

Really easy way to piss off your franchise QB and start that relationship off on a sour note, especially if those guys become perennial all pro players

  2. The only way Alt is not available to us at 7 is if:

    (1) JJ isn’t picked in the top 6, which makes our pick a valuable trade spot for a QB-needy team, or we can stay at 7 and pick Odunze or Fashanu; or

    (2) JJ is picked in the top 6, which means either Nabers or MHJ will be there at 7, also making our pick a valuable trade spot.

Worst case scenario we end up with Odunze or Fashanu at 7, which ain’t a bad result.

  3. The chargers have no one to throw it to they just traded their top WR.
Giants are way more of a threat to take Alt but they need WR help as well.
The biggest threat IMO is the patriots not being sold on QB3 and taking MHJr. Causing a run on WR talent at 3(MHjr), 4(Nabers), 5(Odunzu) and leaving Giants with best value pick being Alt.
