  1. It’s days like this I’m grateful for the pitch clock, because at least that was *only* 2 hours and 15 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

  2. Fitting 100mph groundout right at someone to end this awful game. We had a .209 xBA, they had .211, they ended up with more than double our actual hits. Obscene luck at times but really cannot be relying on good fortune to not get 3-hit by Bailey Falter and a 10+ ERA, third straight day appearance David Bednar. Ugly ugly game. At least Myers looked good, clearly you can never have too many starting pitchers. Get em tomorrow (please)

  3. Offense has been bad for over a week now just a bad stretch after fantastic one. Gotta find a way to win these next two games.

  4. Yeah so..

First and Third no outs = no runs

The Pirates inning where they scored the extra run was more or less sloppy defense that could have had easy 2 outs.

All around a very very poor defensive and offensive showing so far this series.

  5. Not too worried since it’s a long season but it’s painfully apparent that we need Yeil back in the lineup. Also, I love Chourio but maybe he needs a day or two off. The kid is way too aggressive up there and striking out way too much.

  6. Meyers was solid. Sanchez contributing is nice. Had a chance in the 8th and couldn’t cash in. Big game tomorrow, until then lets go Bucks

  7. Myers did not deserve that L in the scorebook. He’ll be a great replacement for Miley/Hall/Junis in the short term and maybe he’ll even spend the rest of his career in the big leagues.

  8. Hey, I give props to Myers. Outside of Freddy and Rea, one of the better starts of the last (roughly) 10 games. 5 IP / 1 ER / 1 BB / 4 SO.

Only earned run from a opening solo HR. (Freddy can relate 😂) Showed competence when dealing with traffic on the bases, but also showed he’s capable of clean innings. Managed to stay level-headed after giving up an opening homer, abnormally so considering it was his first pitch in the major leagues. No major control issues and showed he could hit his locations with some consistency. There’s a little room for improvement in location, but he wasn’t throwing meatballs. He also had remarkable perseverance for a rookie in those long, full count ABs, better than a lot of the pros. And he went 5 innings, which the lack of 5+ inning starts is on track to exhaust our bullpen, so huge +.

And just to be snarky here, I had a lot more faith while watching him pitch than I have watching Hall, Ashby, or Ross. If I was one of those guys, I might be a little nervous about my spot in the rotation should these injuries ever subside.
