2. I understand wanting Turnbull to stay but he’s only thrown like 50 innings a year for the last few years. He wouldn’t last as a starter

3. They just need to get him blown up one time and they can put him in the pen and send Boras to voicemail

4. No way benching the starter with the lowest ERA on the team for a guy with one of the worst contracts in baseball could possibly backfire

6. I don’t love it but gaining turnbull as an arm in the pen will be huge. Lets not forget that we did the same thing with strahm last year and kept him as a starter for too long – he spent the whole middle of the season with a dead arm because he was overstretched and didn’t get back to form until the playoffs. This could keep turnbull as a strong bullpen arm for the whole year

7. Sucks, but Turnbull being good is like us trading for a solid bullpen piece?
