  12. This is simply infuriating to watch. I love the cardinals so much but just can’t justify giving another dollar to the Dewitt’s. Nothing will change until they sell the team.

  14. The theory I’ve heard is Dewitt III is now in charge of day-to-day and has zero interest in competing. He wants to milk the tit for a while and then sell.

  16. It’s just so deflating. A nice win one night and the next night shit the bed. They gave me some hope this would shift momentum and then nope, they just get their ass totally kicked. I aint no friggin doomer, but they make it so hard to stay positive.

  20. As much as I disliked the Gibson/Lynn signings (moreso Gibson, just bc he doesnt have the K stuff LL does), I have appreciated watching them, knowing what to expect, because I think they know what to expect. They are what they are, total pros, even if what they are isn’t very good.

    Steven Matz and Miles Mikolas on the other hand, I can’t stand their starts. Matz pitches like a 25 year old pitcher who fold whenever there is any adversity and then appears to pout in the dugout afterwords, meanwhile you’d think Mikolas had Randy Johnson’s career with his annoying jobber ass attitude, meanwhile he’s absolute dogass. Kyle Gibson, yeah he has it or doesn’t, not a very good pitcher, but whatever. Lance Lynn, you get good or bad, but its the same guy, on and off the field.

    The unfortunate thing for Matz is that he actually has stuff and velo, to where he could actually effectively be moved to the bullpen (esp with ZT being shit), Mikolas has the contract and is locked in, unfortunately.

  24. Our whole system needs to be rebuilt. We can’t draft, we can’t develop, we can’t manage or coach. This organization has literally been run into the ground since Luhnow left.

  25. It stinks to see prospects just strike out and Gorman and Goldie struggle on top of bad pitching. Seems like a losing culture right now 😕

  34. Just when you think this team *might* have signs of a pulse, they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again. I don’t know if it’s Oli, or the team knowing Mo and DeWallet aren’t serious about fielding a contender, but they aren’t having fun. They aren’t supporting each other, and they aren’t playing good baseball.

    The cards have been a toxic workplace for a few years now, looking at how successful players have been upon leaving.

    I vote blow it up from the top down and start over.

  37. I was banned an entire year from this sub last year for shitting on this team when it was extremely apparent how awful we were going to be and talking up another team I was excited to watch. Now I’m just another face in the crowd. God I hate not enjoying Cardinal baseball anymore

    But my fucking god. What a shit show this has been so far. Fuck the 14 runs. Another game of scoring *ONE*. Give us something to fucking cheer for, some homers, some runs, some steals—SOMETHING.

    I’m just about out of time with this offense.

  40. Your pitching staff is going to have stinkers from time to time. That’s just how the game works. But when half of your team could use a trip to memphis to “get right” you got a problem in the hitting coach chair. I was never a fan of Jeff Albert, but this Ward guy…he needs to go before he ruins Walker, Gorman and anyone else in the minors

  42. I was at the game, we left after the grand slam and I never leave early like that.

  43. I think I’m going to stick to Australian Football and Billiards for my sports entertainment for a little while. I’m not having a whole lot of fun
